David Bowie was all about the Changes, he never just reproduced his records live and never played the same song twice in quite the same way. Cracked Actors stay close to this credo, exploring the bright and darker angles of Bowie's songs, looking for new ways to interpret the maestro's work.
Working out of Dublin, this experienced and passionate five- piece eschew the red-wig-and-latex pantomines of some Bowie tributes in favour of focusing on the truly cosmic energy that fueled his music.
Our set covers 40 golden years of classic Bowie, from the singalongs of Starman through the hard funk of Stay to the more introvert cuts of the Berlin Trilogy and beyond. We believe there is still a lot of Bowie still to be played and discovered and want to share that journey with our audiences, be they hardline Bowie freaks or folk just dipping their toes into the swirling, mystical pool of music of one of the true greats of our time.
